Voice Lessons for Adults and Children
One-on-one instruction is the most effective way to learn how to sing. Every voice is unique, and during private lessons, we address each student’s needs. Lessons include vocal technique and exercises, breathing training, reading music, Alexander Technique (IVA only), choosing repertoire that suits each student best, and performance psychology.
Piano Lessons
Piano lessons cover basic to intermediate piano technique and repertoire. IVA teaches students to read music and read piano note for note as well as how to play chords and read charts for popular music.
Guitar
Learn electric and acoustic guitar technique and repertoire for popular music. We are also able to help arrange original songs for the guitar or help students craft a set of cover songs.
Acting for Singers
Access your most authentic expression through method acting training for singers. We help students hone emotional and physical expression to connect with themselves and their audience more effectively.
Artist Development
Artist development is for students who are further along in their training. Lessons will allow students to develop who they are as an artist and what songs they will write based on what they wish to express via in depth coaching from IVA.

LESSON POLICIES
1. FEES -- total monthly lesson fees are paid at the first lesson of each month with cash, check, Venmo (IVA Voice @Emily-Tepe), Zelle (emily@ivavoice.com) or Paypal (estepe@hotmail.com). Checks are to be made out to IVA Voice and Music LLC. No lessons are given on credit and no postdated checks are accepted. Any returned checks must be reimbursed with added fees. If you have more than two checks returned, you will be put on a cash only basis. Please discuss any extenuating circumstances with Emily.
2. LESSON SCHEDULING – Lesson scheduling is handled by writing to training@ivavoicestudio.com or by text to 302-545-3885. We are able to reschedule one lesson per month.
3. CANCELLATIONS -- Please notify us as early as possible, at the latest within 48 hours, if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Please be aware that due to a high number of students, rescheduling is not always possible. In case of sudden illness of a student or parent, please let us know first thing in the morning before going to work or school, or you will be expected to pay for that day's lesson. No shows will be expected to pay for the missed lesson in-full.
4. TEACHER ILLNESS - If an instructor is ill and needs to cancel lessons, we will find a time to make up the missed lesson with you. If we cannot find a suitable time, we will refund the lesson or credit the fee to the next month.
5. SNOW/EXTREME WEATHER POLICY - If there is extreme weather and you are not able to come to your lesson or do not feel comfortable driving, we will be happy to make up the lesson or do the lesson over Skype/FaceTime during your lesson time. We will not be able to refund the lesson, however. If weather keeps one of our teachers from coming to you for a lesson in person, we will have the lesson over Skype/FaceTime instead.
6. PROMPTNESS -- If you are late, you should still expect the lesson to end on time. If we are running late, we will try to give you your full lesson time. Please allow for some time flexibility.
7. MATERIALS — Come to lessons with a voice recorder and sheet music in a book or a three ring binder, or loaded onto an iPad.
